Chef Javier Plascencia back in the ring for Misión 19’s Fifth Anniversary

TIJUANA – “Every year, there is a twist to this meal,” a fellow guest excitedly confided as we were seated for Tijuana restaurant Misión 19’s fifth anniversary dinner on January 21st. “Last year, the theme was the five senses. They served one course with a blindfold, so that you had to concentrate on only the taste.”

This year, chef Javier Plascencia and Misión 19 chef de cuisine Omar Reyes presented five courses of the restaurant’s Baja California cuisine paired with Valle de Guadalupe wines within the context of a boxing match…
